It’sa square dovecote with a four-sloped roof, topped by a four-sloped bell tower, but much larger than traditional buildings of this type.

This pigeon loft features a revolving ladder inside, providing easy access to the wicker nests (known as boulins) fixed to all the interior walls. The building also features two wings, located on the same plan. On the ground floor, the left side is reserved for poultry, the right for kennels.

Upstairs, a gallery accessed by a ladder opens onto small huts used as hutches. The 2 courtyards, which face each wing, are surrounded by an elegant low wall, partly openwork and built with overlapping round tiles, and partly made of Tarn pebbles and bricks laid at an angle, in alternating rows, a common construction method in the region.

Major work was carried out between 2017 and 2019.
The historic facade and interior of the dovecote have been refurbished and now house a museum of antique tools.
Thanks to this quality restoration, we have obtained the label of the Heritage Foundation in August 2018.
The historic part of the dovecote is open to the public free of charge, all year round: Between 2018 and 2019, a 115 m² extension was built along the west facade of the dovecote …Renovating the dovecote
