Guest room with hand-painted wallpaper in the purest “toile de Jouy” style, depicting traditional 17th-century scenes.
A bedroom with an unusual decor
At Domaine du Buc, this is the only room in which we have preserved the original wallpaper, as it was in perfect condition. Its blue monochrome on a beige background lends the room a bucolic, soothing charm. The original wallpaper is enhanced by the carefully selected furnishings and decorative objects. Sleeping in this charming bed & breakfast brings back the ambiance of the 19th century: perfect for a glamorous couple’s stay!
The original “toile de Jouy” from 1890 that covers the walls of this room is a fabric or wallpaper depicting figures with scenery or landscapes. The designs are most often monochrome, red or violet (eggplant) on an ecru or bistre background, but can also come in other colors, such as pink, light or navy blue, light or dark green, or even beige or gray. Rooms with this type of wallpaper are often found in late 19th-century châteaux, and the canvas in our Blue Room will take you back to the refined atmosphere of the Belle Epoque.
This 18 m² room features a 160cm double bed, original parquet flooring, private bathroom (with shower) and separate toilet. The room offers a beautiful view over the grounds of the Domaine and the green landscapes of the Tarn, which we invite you to explore during your stay: the region between Gaillac, Albi and Cordes-sur-Ciel has so much to offer. Of course, the Chambre Bleue also has access to our large swimming pool, where you can relax and unwind.

Questions? We've got the answers
Is the room cleaned every day?
We usually come by every day to clean the bathroom and readjust your bed. However, you can ask us not to come when you arrive. It’s up to you. For longer stays, sheets are changed after 7 days and towels on request.
Are pool towels provided?
Yes, in addition to towels, we provide pool towels for your stay in our bed and breakfast.
Are the guest rooms air-conditioned?
The guest rooms on the second floor of the château are not air-conditioned. However, thanks to the thickness of the walls, double glazing and reinforced shutters, it is possible to maintain the correct temperature in the rooms.
If you absolutely must have air-conditioning, it’s best to book the gite du pigeonnier or the 2nd floor apartment (from 5 nights in July/August; and 3 nights the rest of the year).
Is breakfast included?
A hearty, gourmet breakfast featuring local produce is included in the price of our charming chambres d’hotes. It is optional (15€/pers) for guests of the gite du pigeonnier and the apartment on the 2nd floor.
Is it possible to install an extra bed in the room?
4 guest rooms are equipped for 2 people. If you wish to bring a child, we recommend that you reserve the family room (3 pers) known as the “chambre des demoiselles”.
Do you offer massages?
On request and with a professional, massages are available in guest rooms or gites. Please ask when booking.
